THRYV CARE / HEART & METABOLIC HEALTH
Spironolactone
oral tablet
Aldosterone-blocking treatment for selected heart and fluid conditions.
Medical uses & longevity
Medical indications
Spironolactone blocks aldosterone, a hormone involved in salt and fluid balance. It helps the body remove sodium and water while retaining potassium. It is used for certain forms of heart failure, fluid retention and excess aldosterone, and as an additional treatment for high blood pressure when appropriate.
Healthy aging & longevity
Spironolactone can improve survival in selected patients with severe heart failure and reduced pumping function when used with other treatment. This is a benefit for a defined medical condition. It does not establish that the medicine slows aging or extends life in otherwise healthy adults, and it is not a general longevity treatment.
Important considerations
High potassium, low blood pressure and worsening kidney function can be serious. Breast tenderness or enlargement and menstrual changes can also occur. Your clinician reviews kidney health, pregnancy considerations and other medicines, including potassium products, and arranges blood tests to monitor safety.

What happens when I get started?
Sign in or create your account, complete your health intake and consent, then review the total and pay. Once payment is confirmed, your request is submitted for clinical review.
Does payment mean I'm approved?
No. A licensed clinician must review your request and decide whether treatment is appropriate before prescribing. Payment alone does not approve treatment or send an order to the pharmacy.
