Sermorelin is a peptide that prompts the pituitary gland to release growth hormone. Earlier Geref products were approved for selected pediatric growth problems and testing of growth-hormone secretion. This compounded liquid injection is not that approved product. An adult prescription requires a separate assessment of symptoms, medical history and relevant laboratory results.
Healthy aging & longevity
Sermorelin is discussed in healthy-aging care because growth-hormone secretion changes with age. Small adult studies have measured hormone responses and some physical outcomes, but do not establish long-term wellness benefits or longer human life. A higher hormone level alone does not prove better health, muscle recovery or reversal of aging.
Important considerations
Your clinician should explain the proposed goal, evidence limits, possible side effects and monitoring plan. Injection-site reactions, flushing, headache or nausea may occur. Follow the pharmacy's storage and administration directions for this liquid formulation. Do not substitute instructions for a powder that requires mixing or change your dose without review.
