Ivy combines dutasteride, minoxidil and biotin in a compounded oral tablet considered for hair thinning. Dutasteride lowers DHT, a hormone involved in pattern hair loss. Its use for hair loss and the use of oral minoxidil for hair loss are off label in the United States. This combination is not FDA-approved.
Healthy aging & longevity
Hair treatment may address an appearance goal, but does not reverse biological aging or have a proven effect on lifespan. Biotin supports normal function, yet extra biotin is not an established solution for hair loss without deficiency. A clinician should identify the type and cause of thinning before selecting treatment.
Important considerations
Dutasteride can harm a developing fetus; pregnancy potential requires careful review even after age 45. Your clinician also reviews blood pressure, heart history and other medicines. Oral minoxidil can cause fluid retention and serious heart complications. Report side effects and tell clinicians about biotin before laboratory testing.
