THRYV CARE / WOMEN'S HEALTH
Estradiol Patch
transdermal patch
The Estradiol Patch delivers estradiol, the main estrogen the ovaries make before menopause, through the skin. Each patch releases 0.05 mg a day and is changed twice a week. Estrogen may ease hot flashes, night sweats and other symptoms of menopause. If you still have your uterus, estrogen is usually prescribed with a progestogen such as progesterone to protect the uterine lining. Your clinician reviews your health history and decides whether it suits you, the dose and how long to use it.
Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and are prepared for an individual patient on a valid prescription.
