THRYV CARE / HAIR HEALTH
Dutasteride
oral capsule
An off-label prescription option for male pattern hair loss.
Medical uses & longevity
Medical indications
Dutasteride blocks enzymes that convert testosterone to DHT, a hormone involved in male pattern hair loss and prostate growth. Its FDA-approved use is treating an enlarged prostate in men. Prescribing it for hair loss is off-label, meaning the FDA has not approved that use; a clinician weighs the evidence and individual risks.
Healthy aging & longevity
When considered for hair loss, the goal is hair retention and addressing appearance-related concerns. Such goals do not show that the medicine slows aging or improves lifespan. Dutasteride has no FDA-approved anti-aging or life-extension indication, and response to treatment varies.
Important considerations
Possible effects include reduced sexual desire, erection or ejaculation problems, and breast changes. Dutasteride lowers PSA levels and can affect interpretation of prostate testing. People who are pregnant or could become pregnant should not handle leaking capsules because skin exposure may harm a developing male fetus.

What happens when I get started?
Sign in or create your account, complete your health intake and consent, then review the total and pay. Once payment is confirmed, your request is submitted for clinical review.
Does payment mean I'm approved?
No. A licensed clinician must review your request and decide whether treatment is appropriate before prescribing. Payment alone does not approve treatment or send an order to the pharmacy.
